About the Event
In response to the huge impact Covid-19 is having on the UK's charities, with billions of fundraising being lost, we are pleased to say that we are taking part in The 2.6 Challenge.
The 2.6 Challenge is a UK fundraising campaign that encourages the nation to take part in an activity based around the numbers 2.6 or 26. The campaign will launch on Sunday 26th April (what should have been the 40th edition of The London Marathon).
We are asking you to dream up an activity based around 2.6 or 26 and fundraise. The 2.6 challenge is open to anyone of any age - the only requirement is that the activity must follow Government guidelines on exercise and social distancing.
Your activity could be somethign as simple as pledging to run 2.6 miles as your daily exercise, to do 26 minutes of yoga or juggle for 26 minutes (or 2.6 minutes) non stop. The ideas are endless and we would love to see you use your imaginations to complete the challenge.
Don't worry if you are unable to leave your house or flat for now - you can do your 2.6 challenge indoors too.
There are no rules, apart from the Government guidelines on how to exercise safely during this time. Whatever you can do, you can be part of it - the main thing is to get active, have fun and pledge whatever you can to help (maybe even challenge yourself to raise £26 or £260!)
We ask that you set up a fundraising page via Virgin Money Giving and in return for any challenges completed we will issue you with an MTW medal. If we can help in any way please just let us know. Please complete the form below to register your details.
Lets get creative and join together in The 2.6 Challenge to raise funds for More Than Words
Thank you for your support
